We are so very proud to announce that The Edward Marsh Centre’s Volunteers have been awarded The King’s Award for Voluntary Service. This is the highest award a local voluntary group can receive in the UK and is equivalent to an MBE. The Centre provides an inspirational community space for leisure, sport and recreation and a home for volunteers both young and old who want to have a place to belong.

We are delighted that our group’s hard work has been recognised. Our wider team’s willingness to give their time and service has helped us save the centre and the recreation grounds from possible closure. Our opening of a community cafe at the Centre post COVID helped alleviate loneliness and brought our community together. Your support allows us to continue to fulfil our vision to develop The Edward Marsh Centre as the ‘modern central hub’ for village activities and a real asset for the surrounding area.

We are proud to say we were recognised by the Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire in June 2022 for our outstanding service to the community of Staffordshire throughout the Covid-19 Pandemic.

In 2022 we received Kinver Civic Society’s Commendation Award for an outstanding contribution to the Community
